Massif Elements Lite US Army Pants are authorized by the U.S. Army as the Light Weight Outer Layer in the Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble (FREE) program. Clothing in the FREE program is designed specifically to protect people working in aircraft and combat vehicles with a layering system that guards against cold weather conditions and fire hazards. Woven with durable softshell fabric, these pants pass the ASTM D 6413/F2302-03 test for vertical flame resistance and offer total protection from wind and water. Several pockets provide convenient storage space for small accessories, including cargo pockets on the lower leg. Knee-length inseam zips allow for easy donning and doffing over boots and uniforms. These pants meet the manufacturing and performance testing requirements of the Army's Team Soldier Certified authorization program, ensuring that they hold up under the rigorous demands of military duty.
