MEASURE YOUR FEET
Wear the type of socks you'll wear with your shoes and measure feet in the afternoon (feet typically swell during the day). Distribute weight evenly before measuring.

1. Stand up straight on a hard surface with your heel against the wall and a piece of blank paper taped to the floor, flush against the wall beneath your foot.
2. Have someone mark the longest part of your foot (referred to as heel-to-toe length) on the paper with a pen or pencil, or measure yourself if necessary. Repeat with the other foot, as right and left sizes may be different.
3. Use a ruler to measure the heel-to-toe length you marked for each foot.

Had a few manufacturer defects, nothing major. I ordered one size to small so I’m in the process or a return/exchange. I would have returned them for an exchange regardless or the size issue due to the defects thoug.

Lightest and most comfortable boot I have yet to wear. Feels like I’m wearing tennis shoes to work. Sizing runs a little narrow and small. I followed the sizing chart and was glad I rounded up to the next size.

But your own size! I read the reviews and bought a half size bigger then what I normally wear, don’t do it!! They are great boots, the shipping was fast, but the boots are too big. Just order your actual size.

      11/28/2017

These boots are the best boots I have ever had. They are lightweight. If you are a girl make sure you go by the recommended size on the chart. Usually I am a 5.5 on men, the chart said 6. Thank God I went with the chart and it was the perfect size for me. I am a 7.5 on women's.

I was skeptical on purchasing through tactical gear since it was my first time hearing about the company but they delivered as promised and earlier. Boots are extremely comfortable they feel just like Nike training running shoes. I've owned Rocky c4, Danners, Reebok, and previous SFB nikes and by far the most comfortable shoes. You don't need any soles and don't have to worry about breaking in. Highly recommend. Thanks Tactical Gear!!!!! Definitely have a new customer that will recommend please and keep you in mind for future purchases.

      11/28/2017

I’m only leaving this review in hopes it will help somebody make the right purchase! I’m a female and I usually wear a 7.5 in regular shoes and I had read some reviews that said these run small and to order a half size bigger, so I did :( I ordered a 6.5 and was disappointed for them to fit pretty big. I have the first generation nikes and I usually order a 6. These run true to size for me and the laces don’t seem to be a problem either. I ended up exchanging them for a size 6

I ordered these boots because my issued ones were just too uncomfortable even after 3 weeks of trying to break them in. With these you are ready to go as soon as you put them on. I wear a 6 1/2 or 7 in women’s and I ordered the 5 1/2. Save your feet and order them!

    • Agile
      Reviewer: Vs

      11/15/2017

Pros: Incredibly lightweight, flexible, and agile - they feel just like a pair of Nike Free. I did some parkour over rocky mountian terrain and was able to fly right over it with ease. Cons: the laces are a bit harder to tighten/loosen than if they had metal loops, and the laces are quite slippery so you have to double-knot to prevent them from coming untied. The traction on the soles could be better, but the added agility makes up for it in my opinion.

    • The true Successor to the Gen 1 SFB
      Reviewer: Daniel Velasquez

      11/7/2017

So it's been about 3 weeks since I received my boots and I can honestly say that they were worth the purchase. The first week was rough while I broke them in but after that, it was smooth sailing. They are even more comfortable than my old pair of Gen 1 SFB which I used for almost 6 years. The overall design is a much added improvement over its predecessor. The sightly thicker ankle and leg supporter helps a lot with overall support while still keeping its flexibility. As for the sole's new design, I get a better feel and more comfort than the Gen 1 SFB. I may be out of the military, but I still wear my combat boots and I will most likely continue to follow the Nike SFB's and wear them.

      Reviewer: DK

      10/22/2017

Over 13 years active duty military, I usually wear Danners but decided to give these a try. Fits is similar to Nike running shoe size. The fit and function reminds me of a jungle boot, mainly because the boot neck above the ankle is very thin, not solid. Worst aspect is the leather digs into my ankle on the right boot and a bit on the top of the heel, even when laced with different tightness. I'm going to try to break them in but was surprised I even had to worry about breaking them in. If it weren't for this issue I'd give them a 5.

      10/21/2017

I ordered my regular size. Fit like a glove. I have worn Combat Boots for the last 13 years since my 2 sons enlisted. I figured as long as they wore them, I would do the same. These Nikes are as light as the Oakley SF I finally wore out. I am looking forward to giving them a workout in my job as a Construction Inspector. So far, so good...
