I am a landscape contractor. The 5.11 is very light and holds up extremely well to difficult work conditions. A pair lasts me a full season and that's saying a lot. I only get about 3 months from a lesser quality boot. This is the 4th pair I purchased.

I love these boots! First off I wear a 13 in athletic shoes, so I bought these in a 13 and they fit great! I figured i would be fatigued after all day wearing these like my square toe cowboy boots, but I was surprised!! My feet don't sweat no where near as bad with these after wearing them for 8 to 12 hours a day. I would definitely recommend these to anybody!

Two things first: 1. The boots do run a bit small, so order at least a half size bigger than you normally wear. (I wear size 11 and ordered an 11.5 and they fit perfectly). 2. The soles on the boots are not shiny like the picture displays. With that said, the boots are very lightweight and very comfortable. The zipper access is also a plus as I am getting older and it's becoming more of a challenge to push my foot into boots without that access. Also, I've never been a fan of speed lacing. Too much work and trouble. These boots don't have that. What they do have is the traditional eyelets all the way up and with those eyelets, I can just tie the boot strings, forget about it, and then put them on and off via the side zip method. Work smarter, not harder as it were. I cannot give any rating on durability because I just received them. However, my initial rating is 5 stars because: - Lightweight - Look and feel - Side zip access - Traditional eyelets as opposed to the speed lacing Providing the durability holds up for what I have planned for these boots (normal wear and hiking around my wooded property), I will be buying more of the 5.11's from this site.

Boots are the best. So comfortable right out of the box!

I bought these for my husband,who is a diabetic and has neuropathy. He has tried many, many work boots and always has problems. Not These! They were not only lightweight, but super comfy straight from the box. No breaking in needed. He's worn them for 2 months and still loves them.

I like the boot but it’s smells horrible of chemicals and it’s not wide enough

They are comfortable, easy to put on and have required very little break-in time! I like the fact that they are zippered, as I am not as young as I used to be and zipping takes much less time and effort than lacing and tying!!!

I laced them up and it was a perfect fit. I ordered the wide and a 1/2 size larger. Very comfortable!
