size range is too great

a good "boonie hat" but i typed in "bucket hat" when i was searching and this one came up on your site. I was looking to re-create the" bucket" hat Lt. Col. henry blake wore in MASH for a friend

So pleased with, that I ordered another one in camo pattern. Brim length was what I was looking for. Excellent quality.

This product in the larger size is excellent for men with giant heads. Make the purchase, the product quality is excellent, and it WILL fit even your massive pumpkin head.

Since I had already bought a TruSpec nylon/cotton boonie (a great hat by the way!), I decided to order this 5.11 "boonie" to have something with a more narrow brim for working on, and under, my truck. First off, I don't really consider this a boonie hat, it's more like a bucket hat that you'd see older guys wearing while golfing - and that's fine, just know what it is before you order it. That said, it's extremely comfortable to wear and I'm really happy I ordered one. It's not my first choice on hot, sunny days but for jobs where a wider brim will get in the way, it's more that adequate. Material and build quality are very nice and just what I expected from 5.11. I wear a 7.5; so I ordered the L/XL and it fits great: it's loose enough to be comfortable without blowing off my head when a breeze pops up and so far I haven't needed the

I work outdoors and the cover my employer provided, which was a different hat sold by Tactical Gear, did not provide much protection from the heat and humidity. The 5.11 boonie so far has provided both, and it's a higher quality material.
