This review is from the prospective of having served an aggregate total of 55 years in uniform. 35 years in the military and 22 years in big city law enforcement. Needless to say, in that time I have owned more boots than I can imagine. I actually ordered these boots and then sought an RMA because I also ordered a pair of Danner Dry. Turns out, the Danners were so uncomfortable, I gave them to charity and decided to just keep the Altama Foxhound. I wore them on a 2-1/2 mile hike and they were fine. The next day we hiked for 2 miles in Capital Reef - very rocky steep terrain. The boots proved outstanding. I wore them today on a 40 mile RZR ride in desert mountains. I was amazed at how comfortable they turned out to be! I was issued Belleville flight boots when I flew combat missions in Iraq, and they were also excellent boots. All this to say, these Altama boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Hardly any break-in. They are a little challenging to put on and lace up, but worth it in the end. I highly recommend them. US Patriot has also been excellent to work with.

Reasonably comfortable. Both boots has had a tan pad come out from under the insole. Not 100% where is fits. Just take you boots off and it's on the side of your ankle.

Absolutely love these boots. Im still wearing the old ones despite the fact the right boot was chewed by our dogs - they apparently like the boots as well! Theyre comfortable, flexible, and last forever.
