Men's Altama Maritime Assault Mid Boots

Item #: 333007

Originally designed for Navy SEALs, the Altama Maritime Assault was made for tactical water operations, but is versatile enough for everyday wear. These are equipped with high-abrasion and quick-drying Cordura quarter panels that are rugged enough to withstand repeated heavy-duty use. Air mesh linings in the shoe wick away water, sweat and anything in between. As you maneuver through wetlands, the drainage ports allow water to easily exit while you move. The outsoles are modified for wet tactical operations, making them one of the stickiest, high-traction rubber outsoles available. The Altama Maritime Assault will keep you comfortable, supported and stable on any slippery mission. These shoes work with you, but also work for you.

No sole shape

They look great, until I put them on. The soles lack shape and this makes the shoes flatten out on the sides as though I have big fat feet (I don’t). I’m keeping them but wish they had a better shape through the arch/sole.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Color Defect

This is my second pair of Assault Mid Boots but decided to go wide this time and a different color. The fit was perfect but there is a color defect. I ordered the grey but I’m not sure if the dye didn’t properly take. Great product and fit but not happy that this pair of boots passed QA QQ before Tactical Gear sent them to me.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Awsome

True to size and if you have flat feet or a history of having to break in shoes because they are too tight on the sides get the wide. I got the 11 wide, zero break in time and probably the most comfortable shoe I own. Fast shipping was great.

Good quality, very narrow, uncomfortable insoles

I did return this specific pair but recorded in a wide size. I have always had narrow feet and had to return these because they were too narrow. The shoes are good quality, the old ones I replaced were around 5 years old. The insoles are not comfortable at all and I replaced them with custom ones. I think the insoles are rubber to help last since these shoes are designed to get wet when working on/around/or in the water but something needs to be done to increase the comfortably. Conclusion, if you have narrow feet get the wide, if you have wide feet, you maybe out of luck. Also get your own insoles.

Great Boots

Great fit. I own five (5) pairs of Altamas. Three (3) of them are Maritimes. No disappointments. These Maritime Hi / Low tops are the best protective boots for hot climates. They drain easily and are perfect for use over soft foot Dry Suits. If you walk a lot and have flat feet, orthotics are suggested. A super value either way.

Q: Does this shoe have an insole that absorbs water? I’ve tried other “quick drying” water shoes and the insole always holds water. I will use these shoes for kayak fishing and they will be worn, completely submerged, while launching and retrieving kayaks.
