The Lone Peak 2.5 was inspired by one of the most rocky, rugged mountains in the Wasatch range and was designed to tackle the gnarly terrain of the Wasatch 100.. It features Altra's signature combination of fully cushioned ZeroDrop and a FootShape toe box along with other trail dominating features. Sandwiched StoneGuard technology offers protection from rocks and other trail debris while the carbon rubber TrailClaw outsole combines unique uphill and downhill lug traction for every trail condition.

A-Bound technology: Made of recycled materials, this unique layer sits directly under the foot to reduce the impact of hard surfaces and return energy return into each stride. It's literally a layer of bouncy ball between the road and your feet!

GaiterTrap: This innovative hook-and-loop tab conveniently secures your trail running gaiters to the shoe without having to strap them to the outsole. This prevents annoying debris from building up beneath the shoe.

StoneGuard: Sandwiched between the A-Bound and EVA midsoles, StoneGuard offers flexible protection from the rugged terrain by deflecting rocks into the midsole for a smooth, stable ride.

TrailClaw: Conquer the gnarly terrain with Altra's TrailGuard outsole technology. Altra trail shoes feature canted lugs positioned beneath the metatarsals to provide traction where your foot needs it most. • Please allow at least ½ inch between the longest toe and the end of the shoe
• Zero Drop footwear should feel as relaxed and natural as possible
• If fit is correct, it may feel "too loose" around toes and may take a day or two for feet to get used to spreading out
• Fitting this way will allow feet to become more stable, more comfortable and more powerful
