Runs small

Normally wear a 10.5 med width. Ordered a size up. They were tight across toe box. Finding Bates boots seem to run on narrow side.

I have Salomon forces, i have Viktos johnny combats, i have UA valsetz wp but i have these Bates, in coyote. Since buying them, i haven't worn anything else for about a month. No break in at all. Super comfy. Sole works good on wet surfaces. Surprisingly, the toe and heel have a stiff protective cap. I have Salomon forces EN gore tex shoes and it has a beefy toe cap but totally compresses. The Bates vent boots, Do Not. Getting the black pair. This is my 1st venture into Bates footwear.

A: These boots are vented. As a result, they don't offer any water protection.
