I work 12-16 hour shifts as a Corrections Officer and they're really comfy. The only thing is they're NOT waterproof. But over all I love them!

Comfortable for Correction's, hard to break in.

In 20 years of Corrections, standing on concrete 8 hours a day, these are the most comfortable sole boots I've ever owned. They are definitely a half size larger than others. My only complaint thus far is the break in is terrible. They made blisters on my Achilles, and I had to wear two pairs of socks for over two weeks to help break them in. If they last for an acceptable amount of time, they are definitely worth it!

Tactical Research Fatt Maxx - love em'

This is my second pair of Tactical Research boots. These replaced my four year old, beloved Kybers. The Fatt Maxx is definitely lighter in weight and a little cooler. They have a sole that provides a full contact stride, distributing your weight with a natural front to back rocking action, which is very comfortable. They also seem boxier in the toe area, which was my main reason for switching. Both are side zip. This one has a straight zipper with a pull tab, unlike the curved zipper of the Kybers, which has no tab. I really prefer the curved zipper but with the pull tab, getting these on and off is easy and you can lace them to an exact fit. I've been wearing the FattMaxx daily for work for over a month and I love them! I used a steel rule and their size chart and found the sizing to be very accurate.
