If it's any indication by the title you will see where this is going. If you are familiar with BDU's you understand they are designed with function, simplicities, and durability in mind. You get all of this in FT's V2's with better fabric that is more flexible and tweaked ever so slightly with modern preferences for things like a purposely designed pocket for clip style tools, known as a Clip garage ( for those less educated in the finer BDU's). Any how they fit as advertised and I do in fact recommend these BDU's.

Great Pants But......
These pants are well made and good quality. Plenty of pockets like your standard BDU's or cargo pants. Even has a small pocket inside the large bellow side thigh pockets perfect for your cell phone to prevent it from moving around inside the large pocket. However the sizing is slightly off or they are made more like "skinny pants / jeans." I am a 33 inch waist so I ordered a size 34 / 34. The waist fits perfectly with room to appendix carry but the hips and rear are extremely tight and it squeezes my butt cheeks together making them uncomfortable. I don't have a big butt, actually not much of a butt at all and they still fit tight around the hips and rear. Everything else about these pants is great and they fit well in all other areas. I think a size 36 waist would be better offering me some more room, however, I already removed the tags from both pairs I bought so I can not exchange them. Would be 5 stars if there was more room in the hips and rear.

Much improved BDU pants

Pros: These pants are great. They have several upgrades to the original like internal pockets within the thigh pocket and tether loops. Not as baggy as the original BDU pants. Zipper front and thigh pockets are higher so you don’t have stuff banging into the sides of your knees. Cons: I had one spot on the thigh pocket where the stitching failed. The waist band could use a little adjustability. Would like to see buttons instead of Velcro on the thigh pockets.

Nice pants

Overall, I think these are great pants. Simple and familiar BDU layout. The material is not a 50/50 poly cotton as it says on the website. It's a 35% cotton/65% poly. It's not a big deal as it's lighter weight, but i was looking for warmer pants for winter, and the description should be accurate. The fit is the most important here. The waist measurements are very accurate. Pants sits below the waist, but i wouldn't call them low-rise. A little snug in the seat and crotch but legs are loose/baggy. The length is longer than described. For example, I am 6'5". I usually order pants in 36 lengths. I did with these, but when I tried them on, it was more like 38 length. Exchanged for shorter pants.

Great field pants

I bought three pairs for everyday forestry work and have not been disappointed. These BDUs are very comfortable, well built, and have some great features. I thought they would be hot at first, but they're actually quite cool, even under chainsaw chaps. They dry out super fast, which will be a huge plus while working in a very humid part of the country. For the price, I don't see how you can go wrong with these pants.
