Modern technology in a bespoke package.
I have always been attracted to watches with an analog movement. The Garmin crossover has what looks like an analog movement, but it is controlled by digital circuitry. The other features of the watch match the features of the basic Garmin instinct which for health and fitness tracking is so good I have dumped my other more expensive watch that does a mediocre job of tracking health and fitness and will typically not last for 24 hours on a full charge. The sleep tracking and VO2 Max reporting is excellent and I really like the morning report after a night of sleeping that includes the body battery function. Overall an excellent watch.

Innovative

I purchased the watch online and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. I totally dig this watch. The blend of the analog movement with the digital features and capabilities of the instinct 2 watch is what is appealing to me the most. I have owned the original instinct for the last couple of years and I love the Activity tracking . The interface on the instinct crossover is the same as the original so there is no learning curve as to how to use it for me. The new features make it an outstanding value for the Price.

Reliable and gives me what I was expecting
6 months ago
I've had this for a couple weeks now, and I'm happy with my purchase. Honestly, initially I was ready to box it back up and send it back with the frustrations I was experiencing setting it up, but that was a learning curve. It is very different from my previous smartwatch and so I had to slow down and learn the steps on this watch. The one thing that was the largest frustration, and the reason it is 4 stars instead of 5, is that there is no easy keystroke to get back to the watch face built into the watch. It is expected that you use the back button, one step at a time, until you get back, but often that is a large number of steps. Nowhere in the documentation was that explained, so imagine the frustration when I had to keep rebooting my watch to get back to the watch face. I found a youtube video that walked through how to set up a keystroke and this frustration went away. Honestly, the watch face is a basic critical function so not having this built into the watch on delivery was a serious flaw in my opinion. Another lesser frustration was that once I accidently activated the GPS, I could not find where I could turn it off, and it was a serious drain on my battery. Again, a youtube video provided the guidance. In a nutshell, this is a wonderful watch, with an incredible battery life, but the documentation should be much more descriptive, and it should expect users to want to quickly return to the watch face so build that keystroke into the watch from the start. Don't make the user find a third party video to provide that guidance.

Comfortable, but retuned
The watch is comfortable, but the display is so tiny and they pack it with info. The menus are also confusing. Coming from a Fenix, I couldn't easily figure out how to quickly start and stop activities. The watch was also automatically doing laps for some reason.

My Best Smart Watch.
The Garmin Instinct Crossover is a really nice hybrid watch. The analogy hands are easy to read under minimal or bright lighting conditions. Also with a battery life of over one week typical there is no cause for missed charging anxiety which many smart watches account for.
The ABC, GPS, and health tracking features are all included in the watch design at a price that is most competitive for an attractive and reliable smart watch. I really enjoy using this watch as a techie.
