Appears well made but the pivot points are extremely weak. I have now had 2 nxt tools and both of them broke while using the pliers. The little screws always break. I got maybe a year out of the first one and a couple months out of the second. When you really need to count on these tools you can't. Better suited for a hobbiest.

The perfect pocket multi tool for me. Well made , not to big. Has the tools i want at a great price. I bought mine plus 4 more for my sons and grandsons.

I’ve owned two of these NXT’s. On the first, one of the little tabs that locks the pliers when the tool is fully opened, snapped completely off while using the pliers to grip a bolt. Wasn’t using excessive force, never dropped the tool either. Not sure if it can be attributed to the temper of the metal or overall metallurgy. The replacement tool sent by Gerber now has a crack in nearly the identical place, and the pocket clip screw (which also controls the tightness of the outboard tools) constantly wants to walk out. I’m left in a predicament where if I either tighten the screw to secure the clip, now the tools are too tight inside to be opened. If I loosen the screw to allow to tools to be opened, now the pocket clip moves freely and is useless. I was happy to have been sent the replacement free of charge, but I’ve completely lost faith in this model.

Poor Design and No Sheath. The clip to hook of your belt or pants pocket is poorly designed and cheap. It started bending the first day. Grabbing the folded utilities is difficult and if your hands are a little oily it is VERY difficult to unlock the release to fold it back.

I've had this product for over a year now and it's still a hot spots. The Phillips is poorly sized. The wire cutters have developed a gap rendering them nye unusable, and the star bolt is stripped from having to tighten the pocket clip repeatedly. I've been using another model for thirty years now without a problem. No pocket clip. I don't mind paying for quality, but if you're bottom tier product doesn't have it I don't trust the top.

I've had my Gerber Suspension NXT for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. It's not as large as some other multitools and falls into a medium size just perfectly. I've had people complain about their tools breaking and I have to tell them that they need to respect the capacity of the tools. That being said, I've had no problem with any of the implements of my Gerber.

i have had this tool for about 3 years but unfortunately the spring for the scissors has broken and i don’t believe i can find a replacement, otherwise i love this thing
