This holster is a true patrol holster. It can be drawn to the front when seated in a patrol vehicle, which with these days and times, this is a huge plus with high risk traffic stops after high speed pursuits. The curvature of the belt slide stays up on the hip area and doesnÂ't gauge the hip when seated. ItÂ's a well made duty holster for those of us that started when wheel guns or revolvers were still in use as patrol duty weapons.

I've used one of these with a S&W 66 and love it.

I've used one of these with a S&W 66 and love it. The holster was very stiff at first, but works great now. The forward then up drawing motion also took some getting used to.

Carried a revolver in one for years as deputy. Good security. Wear and tear resistant. A suspect tried to run me down once. I got thrown for a loop, but the holster came out fine with only a small nick visible.
