SZ features a unique Non-Visible Air EVA midsole that both reduces the overall weight of the boot and provides superior arch support and midfoot cushioning. The outsole can handle treacherous surfaces with ease and meets ASTM standards for slip resistance, making it ideal on any terrain. The full-grain leather upper is capable of withstanding abuse in any climate condition while delivering maximum foot protection, so the boot can be worn year-round without a problem. A non-metallic shank provides torsional rigidity and heel stability and is airport-friendly for quickly passing through security checkpoints. The thermoplastic polyurethane heel counters offer added protection and increase security without adding unnecessary bulk. This model also features a YKK side zipper with a hook and loop closure for convenient donning and doffing.
