This is a serious boot, even by Salomon standards. Outstanding grip on all surfaces, including this frozen winter mess in the Mid-Atlantic, courtesy of the winter 2025 wobbly arctic vortex. Fits true to size with a nice toe box. Will be interested to see how that toe holds up, as I note it is glued only. With feet flatter than the lid of the box the shoes came in, my feet instantly remembered the Salomon orthopedics and were grateful, right out of said box. While the coyote color would likely pass AR 670-1 muster in formation, the height would certainly get the ever-vigilant CSM’s attention. Only concern is when going into Mission Barbecue someone may think I’m posing as a retired SF operator. I am retired, but a lifetime tree-hugging civilian.
