The Vasque Juxt is more than a great hiking shoe. Its rubber outsole is built with Vasque Off The Grid technology, which provides superior grip and positive traction on any terrain, thanks to broad surface lugs in the forefoot and smaller, angular perimeter lugs around the heel. For high-abrasion environments, a polyurethane coating covers the suede upper for maximum abrasion resistance and optimal durability. The thermoplastic polyurethane plate contains heel and arch stabilization technology for a comfortable, secure fit when in motion. Built with an Arc Tempo Last, the shoe fits like a sneaker, but is suited for traversing rough terrain. Atop the molded EVA midsole is a shock-absorbing Juxt footbed that is stable, yet comfortable. There is also a molded rubber toe cap for added protection.

Best shoe I've ever worn

I walk all day for work, and I'm very hard on shoes (water, chemicals and concrete all day long). I tired a pair of Merrell's and they fell apart in 6 weeks. I get 6 months out of these shoes, and for the abuse I dish out, that's an eternity. As long as these shoes are being made, I'll never buy another shoe for work.

I've been wearing these shoes (not the same pair) for over a decade. I buy them in pairs and switch them out when they get beaten up. These are my daily drivers on trails with my dogs or with jeans running errands. love them, please keep the product line going!

Best Shoe.....

I bought this shoe 2 years ago. I've easily hiked, jogged, or walked in this shoes well over 1200 miles. Any other shoe would have fallen apart. This is the most sturdy shoe I've ever worn, while still being extremely comfortable to wear every day. This is the shoe I put on after a long hike in my St. Elias boots. So glad I found these shoes.

Loved them for a minute. Then this happened…

I wore these shoes daily to work (in an office) as welll as around town, around the house, etc. after a few weeks, both shoes developed a tear on the outside, in the suede, just behind the plastic toe cap. I love the look and feel so much that I want to buy another pair but I’m concerned they will do the same thing. You can see in the photos that the left shoe is worst than the right. I put Gorilla Tape on the inside to keep the whole closed up.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great approach shoe.

I've trusted my life to these as a Former Special Operations Officer in the US Intelligence Community. I wore these as an operator for short duration direct action ops where strong ankle support was not essential. This was the approach shoe we wore on the Bin Laden raid.

Vasquez hiking boots were the first pair of real hiking boots that I ever owned. Bought a pair when I was 16 years old and I am not going to tell you what year that was but needless to say they were the best real hiking boots that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Since then I have searched high and low for a comparable pair both in price and quality. I don't mind spending a few dollars more if that translates to better quality. Unfortunately it doesn't. I have owned many different pairs from many different manufacturers but in the end it has come down to Vasque. In quality, performance and value for the dollar. Right now I own two pairs of the Juxt and they are almost 8 years old and still have at least another 5 years of life if not more. And they are my go to shoe, for daily wear casual as well as hiking. They are great approach shoes, sturdy, comfortable and trustworthy. Thank you for keeping your product real and not falling victim to the least expensive outsourcing manufacturers that so many of your competitors have to there regrets. Sincerely Brian B.

NO BREAK IN NEEDED!

Been a Vasque customer for decades, back when they were made in Italy, I was a bit hesitant to buy the Asian made sundowners I’ve grown to love from the mid 90’s. I was pleasantly surprised, they still have the perfect fit out of the box as they did in years past, to be honest I’ve never owned anything other than the sundowners, the juxt was the first different Vasque product I’ve bought, and I’m not disappointed! I may buy a second set for “date night” and another set for the trails!
