In 2012, AR500 began manufacturing its lineup of ballistic body armor with the goal of offering reliable, high-quality products for military personnel, law enforcement officers and law-abiding citizens alike. Since then, the company has reimagined what’s possible with ballistic steel. A unique, in-house manufacturing process allows AR500 to implement innovative fragmentation mitigation coatings in every piece of armor they make. This process helps to prevent spalling in order to keep users safe, allowing the company to redefine the standard for ballistic steel core body armor. All AR500 products are made in the United States from their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
